- My Story -
I am not afraid of much. I moved to the United States when I was 10 years old and spoke little English. At 14, I got my first job working at Arby's to help my mom, a single parent, make ends meet. Life wasn't easy, we moved around a lot, by the time I was 21, I had moved 21 times. I learned to be resilient, count my blessings, and always see the glass as half-full.
Throughout college I always held two part-time jobs. I can truly say that I had been involved in a little bit of everything, which exposed me to a lot of different people and personalities. Working with an array of different customers in different industries, I learned early on the importance of good customer service.
After completing a B.A. in Radio and Television at the University of Houston, I was hired as a TV news reporter to open up a new Univision station in Victoria, Texas. The process was a learning experience in both marketing/PR and writing, interviewing, shooting, and editing my own stories. I also anchored the newscast and the weather.
Later, after moving to Boston, I became a Network Analyst conducting network implementations and testing for pre-paid cellular phone service, traveling all over the United States, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. I trained users in the functionality and usability of BCGI's Mobile Guardian software.
In 2017, I decided to obtain an MBA. The program at Louisiana State University was fast paced and challenging. I was able to travel with my peers to China and explore how supply chains operate in different industries and how countries relationships affect those chains. After the two and a half year program, I graduated in December 2019. One of my proudest moments!
My resilience and the customer interactions I have experienced throughout my life have gotten me to a place where I can collaborate with all levels of customers in different industries. My goal is to continue to evolve, grow, and look for opportunities that expand my business knowledge.
